Learn to Sail - Easily, Quickly, and Safely

Learning how to sail doesnt have to be complicated or expensive. The Nyack Boat Clubs popular Learn to Sail program utilizes our modern fleet of club-owned Ideal 18 sailboats, an 18-foot keelboat designed by noted Laser and Sonar designer Bruce Kirby. The Ideal 18, was designed with safety, simplicity, comfort, and performance in mind and is a joy to sail. Guided by our Director of Sailing, participants start with beginner classroom sessions, then followed by on-the-water instruction. You can even race in our popular Sunday racing series, or at one of our many regattas.
