New to Boat Ownership? Let's Do It Together!

You've heard of DIY - Do It Yourself? At the Nyack Boat Club, we prefer the Do It Together approach, which makes boat ownership easier than you might think. More than just keeping costs down, Do It Together reduces concerns about the responsibilities involved in boat ownership, especially for those newer to owning and maintaining a boat. Each year we start the season by working together to prepare our boats for launch, helping others with advice and hands-on assistance when they need it. At the end of the season, we work together to haul our boats and safely store them at the club for the winter. Throughout the year, members are always eager to share their knowledge and experience to help you with just about any question or problem you may encounter. 

To quote one member, "We never thought we could own our own sailboat, but being a DIT club makes it affordable, and the willingness of members to help each other and share their knowledge removes the intimidation factor.
