Adapted Sailing
17th - 26 June
Sign up below (under DATES) to volunteer for the Orientation (June 17) and the Clinic (June 26). There are roles for non-sailors and sailors alike.
Tuesday, June 17: 5 pm to 8 pm (need 25 volunteers)
- Introduction to Nyack Boat Club, Sonars, the Adapted Sailing Program, sailing, and sailing mobility techniques. Event will be on land. On pier, weather permitting.
- Volunteers needed to help to with set up, clean up, registration, to park cars, to assist with demo on a Sonar at the finger dock, to mingle with and escort participants. There are volunteer roles where no sailing experience is necessary. Once registered to volunteer, additional information will follow prior to event.
Thursday, June 26: 9:30 am to 6 pm (need 75 volunteers)
- Lunch, sailing rotations on the water (weather permitting) & Happy Hour
- Volunteers needed to help with set up, clean up, registration, the kitchen, to park cars, to mingle with and escort participants, to serve as crew on patrol boats and sailboats. There are volunteer roles where no sailing experience is necessary. Once registered to volunteer, additional information will follow prior to event
