Burning of the Socks!
20th March, 7:00pm - 9:00pm
A spring equinox mariner's tradition is a ceremony called "The Burning of the Socks." It signficies spring is coming, and thus the boating season, and celebrates the move out of winter by shedding one's socks and not donning them again until the fall.
So bring your socks to burn (100% cotton only so as not to damage the environment).
The price of admission is one pair of new socks (any material) to be donated to a local homeless charity.
There may also some drinking of beer involved (BYOB).
