Newark Horizons Program Sailing day

On Friday, July 17th, from noon to 4 pm, Nyack Boat Club will host about thirty (30) 7th-8th grade students (and 5 or 6 teachers) from the Newark Horizons Program for a special day on the water. This community outreach event introduces inner-city students to the joys of sailing, boating, and the Hudson River.

Weather permitting, the afternoon will include sailing, and a memorable introduction to life on the water.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided, including pizza, sandwiches, and beverages. 

This is a wonderful opportunity to share our passion for sailing while making a lasting impact on young people who may be experiencing boating for the first time.

Please consider volunteering your boat, your time, or both. Together, we can make this an unforgettable day.
